| ICFO organizes the International Meeting on Engineering, Manipulation, and Characterization of Quantum States of Matter and Light (EMALI) on September 23-25. |

The International Meeting on Engineering, Manipulation, and Characterization of Quantum States of Matter and Light (EMALI 2010) will be held in Barcelona from September 23rd to September 25th. The event is organized by ICFO Group Leader Morgan Mitchell, with support from the EMALI Marie Curie RTN.
This event marks the conclusion of the EMALI network. The meeting features presentations by EMALI-trained Young Researchers, by invited speakers Jean Dalibard, Jeff Kimble, Andreas Wallraff and Christaine Koch, and by network Scientists-in-Charge Ennio Arimondo, Michael Fleischhauer, Atac Imamoglu, Giovanna Morigi, David Petrosyan, Eugene Polzik, Ferdinand Schmidt-Kaler, Nikolay Vitanov, Ian Walmsley, and Anton Zeilinger.
On September 23rd, Scientists-in-Charge and key network related personnel from the partner groups are expected to attend the Final EMALI Business Meeting. EMALI-fellows are invited to participate.
