The conference is the first major scientific event of the "Cold Quantum Matter" (EuroQUAM) research program, that is developed within the European Collaborative Research Scheme (EUROCORES) of the European Science Foundation (ESF). It will provide a platform for scientific exchange between the participants of the programme and with invited speakers from the cold-matter community world-wide.
The event will take place in the Hotel Catalonia Rambla, Barcelona (Spain), from Monday 7th to Wednesday 9th (arrival Sunday, departure Wednesday afternoon) April 2008.
