Abstract:
We focus on the investigation of new hybrid materials based on optically active organic materials either embedded with semiconductor nanocrystals or incorporated in semiconductor matrixes.
Optical and electrical characterisation enables optimizing the material synthesis towards light emission for devices such as LEDs and laser diodes. Emphasis is given to the study of charge injection and charge transport in order to obtain low lasing threshold by electrical excitation.
