UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
Undergraduate students from any Universities in the world are invited to carry out research projects at ICFO. Selected students are given the opportunity to participate in ICFO's rich scientific life and to benefit from the experience of ICFO researchers.
The ICFO Undergraduate Student program offers research opportunities in all ICFO groups. Interested students are requested to browse the Research pages to identify the groups that may better meet their interests, and subsequently to submit a full CV and a letter stating their interests to .
Every year Caixa Catalunya Obra Social and ICFO team up to offer a limited number of Summer Research Fellowships addressed to outstanding undergraduate students attending the last two years of their studies, to carry out a research project at ICFO. Calls for undergraduate students are published in the Job Openings page every spring.

PhD STUDENTS
Most PhD students at ICFO are enrolled in our Photonics PhD Program. Students enrolled in eligible programs at other Universities may also conduct their research at ICFO. Students who do not hold a Master equivalent degree may register in the Master in Photonics during their first year.
The ICFO PhD program offers research opportunities in all ICFO groups. Interested students are requested to browse the Research pages to identify the groups that may better meet their interests.
The course of studies includes a special educational package named ICFO+, which offers unique opportunities in the area of professional and personal development.
ICFO's PhD students will be requested to secure a 4-year fellowship to cover their tuition and living expenses in Barcelona. Calls for ICFO fellowships are regularly published in the Job Openings page.

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS
Postdoctoral researchers coming from all institutions around the world have the opportunity to carry out research projects at ICFO and to advance their careers by working under the supervision and advice of ICFO's group leaders.
