Informal Chat with a Panel from Medical Optics Group and the Role of Blood Oxygenation, Blood Flow to Diagnosis, Treatment and Management of COVID-19 Patients

COVID-19 is a disease about the failure of lungs to properly oxygenate the blood and, therefore, the patients are hypoxic. It is a complex disease that affects different organs, its symptoms and the observed clinical issues are unlike what is known from other conditions. This complicates the proper management of the patients. So as a group, we have been brainstorming about the potential role of our technologies as well as other photonic technologies (Raman, NIRS etc) for its diagnosis and management. We will utilize this opportunity to engage with audience to brainstorm and learn from each other.
