Description of Activities:

The main scientific goal of this project is to characterize quantum correlations, namely quantum entanglement and non-locality. It is a well-known fact that measurements on entangled particles may display correlations that cannot be reproduced by classical systems. These non-classical correlations are also known as non-local correlations. Research objectives for this part are:

(i) understand which entangled states lead to non-classical correlations,
(ii) characterize those correlations that are possible among distant quantum systems,
(iii) establish qualitative and quantitative relations between entanglement and quantum non-locality, and between these two quantum properties and other quantum information resources, such as random or secret bits.
